This Saturday Oct. 31st, The Brooklyn Bounce will celebrate Halloween with GUILTY PLEASURES. All the music we hate to love. Back in 2005, when me and my good friend Colt Seavers were spinning at Lotus, Cheetah and all the other clubs built on guilty pleasures and mash ups, we made this mix for a MTV party at Rockerfeller Center. Since the jazz series featuring Bilal was so well received, I'm back with some treats centered around Robert Glasper, a friend of Bilal and one of his band members. Rob has just released an album called "DOUBLE BOOKED" on Blue Note Records. Glasper is a fan of J-Dilla and keeps his spirit alive in his unique, hip hop inspired brand of jazz. Hence the title "A PERPETUAL CALENDAR."
